This is my Resource page-lots of great sites here
Photographic equipment stores
Adorama
I go back and forth between purchasing at B&H photo and this company. I have found that Adorama is very reliable.
B&H Photo
This is the place were I most frequently by my photographic gear. Not only do they have great prices but because they're in New York And I'm in California I do not have to pay taxes especially on big dollar items. They are a solid company. They have an excellent return policy. Over the phone I've always received excellent technical support and information. I highly recommend them. I have purchased a D90, a couple D700s, a few D300s a D7000, a D3100 a whole mess of lenses and endless amounts of accessories from them.
ebay
I buy and sell regularly on ebay. I've easily purchased more than 1000 things on eBay and I have never been ripped off. ebay is an extremely safe way to purchase things on the Internet.
J&R
Many people don't realize that J&R Music is a big seller of camera bodies and lenses from Nikon and Canon.
Ritz
This store tends to be a little higher priced than others but sometimes they run specials. You can subscribe to their feed to find out about the specials.
Photography/Lighting Technique and Information
Strobist
This website is one of the best free resources on the Internet for off-camera lighting, especially using small flashes.I also recommend looking David Hobby's video series.
Ken Rockwell
Go here if you want to hear the latest things from Nikon. Also he has excellent lens reviews and camera reviews. Ken has a good technical knowledge of digital and film photography and he makes it fun to read.
Thom Hogan
If you shoot Nikon, always go to this site first before you decide to buy a camera body. The site looks a little antiquated but the information is certainly not. If you e-mail Thom with a question he just might reply. (I say that from personal experience.)
